Anyone fussed in Fiji?

Qantas has apologised for offending anyone with its ‘racist’ publicity stunt. To win two platinum tickets to the Wallabies vs All Blacks game, people had to tweet how they would show support for the Wallabies. A couple of guys promised to dress like Fijian-born star Radike Samo – wearing footy gear, an afro wig and face paint. A bunch of politically correct tweets arrived saying the photo was racist.
Haven’t we grown up enough to see that this was NOT a black & white minstrel send-up but a descriptive compliment to one of the Aussie stars? Good Lord, if Samo was happy to pose with them for a photo, obviously he wasn’t offended! Here’s what Samo said, ”These guys were actually paying me a tribute. It was a bit of fun, and I think they regarded me as their favourite Wallaby. I don’t have an issue with it at all, I was glad to be in a photo with them.” Oh, and great game, Radike!
